RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Tuomo Soini 2010-12-07 07:58:58 UTC
kdepim-runtime has missing build requirement.

On beta stage rhel-6 betas had qt with enabled QtWebKit support. On release this support was removed so kdepim-runtime got broken

4.3.4-4.el6

CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set
to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake file
s:
QT_QTWEBKIT_INCLUDE_DIR (ADVANCED)
used as include directory in directory /builddir/build/BUILD/kdepim-runtime-4
.3.4/clients/akonablog
QT_QTWEBKIT_LIBRARY (ADVANCED)

Reason for this problem is missing build requirement in kdepim-runtime package:

BuildRequires: WebKit-qt-devel

And missing requirement:

Requires: WebKit-qt

Note: this creates a possible regression, currently qt doesn't provide QtWebKit while kdepim-runtime is actually requiring it.

fix build issue without webkit

akonablog is not installed by default in KDE-4.3.x upstream. This client needs qtwebkit which is not supported in rhel6. There's a patch which fixes this issue.

Comment 3 Tuomo Soini 2010-12-09 11:45:46 UTC
Correct, this patch fixes the issue, differently but fixes it.

Comment 4 Phil Knirsch 2010-12-09 12:22:06 UTC
Proposing for Fast.

Thanks & regards, Phil

Comment 6 Suzanne Logcher 2011-02-15 21:46:12 UTC
This issue was proposed for RHEL 6.1 FasTrack but did not get resolved in time.
It has been moved to RHEL 6.2 FasTrack.
