Description Chris Williams 2010-12-16 16:27:43 UTC
1. Customer Name : Precision Administration Services Pty Ltd

2. What is the nature and description of the request?

Customer would like to have a feature to export system currency data in CSV format via Satellite UI.

3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

The Infrastructure Security team require regular reports detailing the status and patch levels of all servers in the infrastructure environment. The System Currency data/screen captures the patch status of all RHEL servers perfectly and if they could just export this data as a .csv, they could provide this .csv as a RHEL status update/report on a regular basis. It is important for the Infrastructure Security team to maintain an up-to-date awareness of the patch levels of all servers in our environment.

4. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)

By including an option to export system currency data in the recently included feature in Satellite 5.4 in CSV format.

5. For each functional requirement listed in question 4, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented.

Once the feature is available we can test this by exporting system currency data via Satellite UI in csv format

6. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat bugzilla? No

7. How quickly does this need resolved? (desired target release) Minor release

8. Does this request meet the RHEL Inclusion criteria (please review)Yes

9. List the affected packages
