Description Jan Pazdziora (Red Hat) 2010-12-26 22:20:07 UTC
While investigating bug 619083, I've come across rhnpackagefile.verifyflags. On my Satellite 5.4.0 (upgraded from at least 5.3), the values are:

By the way, on my Satellite 5.4 (RHEL 5 obviously), the following select returns mostly negative values:

SQL> select VERIFYFLAGS, count(*) from rhnpackagefile group by VERIFYFLAGS ;

VERIFYFLAGS   COUNT(*)
----------- ----------
	-40	 93987
       -116	 55068
       -100	    84

	-60	    13

That probably is not correct, is it?

I believe the data should be positive, as this is what we will get with python 2.6 on Fedora 13 (and likely on RHEL 6). Of course, we need to figure out if we actually use the data for something.

If we do, we might want to fix our importing/pushing/syncing code to properly store unsigned values, add tests for this situation, and upgrade existing data to be unsigned.

Assigning to Michael for investigation / opinion.
