Description Mihai Balaci 2011-01-01 14:28:38 UTC
SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/gdm-session-worker from 'write' accesses on the directory /root.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ***************************

If you believe that gdm-session-worker should be allowed write access on the root directory by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep /usr/libexec/gdm-session-worker /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 1 Miroslav Grepl 2011-01-03 16:21:08 UTC
Logging in directly as root from X Windows is not supported with SELinux, It
is considered too dangerous and the amount/type of policy that would needed to
be written, would allow too much access.

Either put the machine in permissive mode when you login as root, or login as a
normal user and use su or sudo to reach root.
