When running Xosview 1.83 remotely over an SSH connection (Both DSL and Cable) the display for the CPU meters is glitchy. Instead of scrolling smoothly from right to left the CPU meters reset often clearing themselves to blank and then starting over. Seems to happen about once a minute. This problem does not happen with Xosview 1.80 and it doesn't happen when Xosview is run locally. It only happens running remotely and with 1.83. My guess is that it is related to the connection speed and that the client window isn't receiving data as fast as it expects or that perhaps data is dropping and it resets because it doesn't know what to do. But something is causing the CPU meters to clear and reset and I'm hoping it's something tunable.

It is the same problem. However it currently isn't quite as bad as it once was. Seems like it happens less often or perhaps in a less annoying way.
For whatever it's worth the 1.80 version with Fedora 8 and earlier never had this problem.
1.80? 1.81 was released 2003-10-20, that is > 7 years ago in the Red Hat 9 or Fedora Core 1 era. Can you remember the last "good" release?

Fedora 14 is EOL[1] and the publish system don't allow my to build for that release. I don't have private Fedora 14 systems available. Package xosview-1.9.2-1.fc17: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing xosview-1.9.2-1.fc17' as soon as you are able to. I just want to say to all of you that I really appreciate you fixing this and maintaining xosview. It's a really great program. I can glance up at the screen and get a sense of that is going on with any of my servers just seeing the colors and shapes. Nothing else works like this program. God job!
