Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:
when trying to install a local rpm file with the commandline packagekit tool "pkcon" a critical warning arises:

[a001329@nrlx061:]$ pkcon install-local /tmp/numlockx-1.1-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm

Starting                      [=========================]         
Running                       [=========================]         
Resolving dependencies        [=========================]         
(pkcon:13126): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_strv_length: assertion `str_array != NULL' failed

This is apparantly fixed by the author with the following patch:
http://gitorious.org/packagekit/packagekit/commit/71732de3d461fc39c84aa6013a4bdaa5a5cc5f98

and would need to be backported to rhel6.
