Description John T. Floyd 2002-06-17 20:10:08 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020408

Description of problem:
Konqueror 3.0.0-12 is unable to correctly post data to some web sights. In some
of my experiences it causes lockouts from user accounts and hinders some online
shopping.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.0.0-12

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Simpy create an account at the URL given(its the only site off the top of my
mind I could think of) Plus I spoke with the webmaster in email thinking it
might have been a PHP Nuke problem. There was nothing in his logs that would
help. but perhaps he can help if feedback is needed

2.Try to login with Konqueror. Login will fail kicking you back to the login
page. This is reproducable on a few other sites.

3.

Actual Results: Login to web site fails

Or in some cases unable to create accounts

in others unable to add things to wishlists/shopping carts

Expected Results: Logging in

Creating accounts

Add things to shopping list and carts

Additional info:

I'm unable to provide any debugging information :{{

Sorry..I think its a problem with Konqueror's handling of style sheets....or
mayb its adding/subtracting charecters when posting data?

Testing with the above site. Mozilla/Netscape post fine and login is achieved as
well as with some other sites I have encounter this problem on

Could you please recheck with a current release (preferably fedora core 3)?
Thank you very much.

Red Hat Linux is no longer supported by Red Hat, Inc. If you are still
running Red Hat Linux, you are strongly advised to upgrade to a
current Fedora Core release or Red Hat Enterprise Linux or comparable.
Some information on which option may be right for you is available at
http://www.redhat.com/rhel/migrate/redhatlinux/.

Red Hat apologizes that these issues have not been resolved yet. We do
want to make sure that no important bugs slip through the cracks.
If this issue is still present in a current Fedora Core release, please
open a new bug with the relevant information.

Closing as CANTFIX.
