It comes up fine here... does this happen always? Or only right after start? The backtrace isn't too informative, but will try and see where it's at.
(In reply to comment #2) Thanks for your fast response. Currently, I can't tell you any more details, the automatic login of the live iso fails and returns again and again. So I am not able to try to reproduce it ... Have you noticed that it is an issue of the live cd as a guest with VirtualBox, maybe only version 4.0? Probably I will try a new nightly in the next days and see how to reproduce.
Yeah, there's a gdm bug going on there. ;( I have a real physical install here. Not virt, not live. So, it could be something related to those, yes.

I am going to submit a proper backtrace in a new bug and then close this one as a duplicate. God knows how I have ABRT. :(

Created attachment 474806 [details] better backtrace Dammit, why can ABRT not attach a new backtrace if the previous one was useless?
Upstream bug: http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7174
ok, upstream has commited a patch for this, which I have just added to our xfce4-settings package. ;) Hopefully this fixes it. Should be in tomorrow's rawhide/nightly composes. Please let me know if it's still not fixed.
There is also a crash of xfce4-settings-helper with the nightly xfce-i386-20110126.16.iso.
That was the previous version before the crash? ;) Composes take like 12 hours or so and start after rawhide lands. There was none yesterday as rawhide was broken. ;) So, try with the 20110128 ones once they appear?

(In reply to comment #13) Have you tried the latest nightly? Which one?
This should be fixed in 4.8.0-2.fc15. (But obviously, I would like to get more confirmation on that).
It looks better now with xfce-i386-20110130.16.iso
