Description of problem: with system-config-lvm-1.1.5-8.el5, logical volumes appears as not mounted whereas they are actually mounted. This problem does not occurs with the previous version 1.1.5-4.el5 It looks like the patch that cause this problem is scl-modify_existing_volume-2.patch after a chat with Marek, it seems changing /bin/readlink to /usr/bin/readlink in utilities.py would solve the problem.
Patch is specific to RHEL5 as readlink was moved to /bin in later releases of coreutils.
Same case here. I have opened a support case in Red Hat Support (00417092) to address this issue.
I have a customer hitting this same problem in RHEL 5.6. Logical volumes are mounted but are displayed as 'Not Mounted'. I have recreated the issue on my own machine.
The same problem in two cases (#00409487 and 00416408). The 'Properties for Logical Volume show the following: Mount Point: Unmounted Mount Point when Rebooted: None When I try to resize the volume it show the following message: Logical volume is not mounted but is in use. Please close all applications using this device (eg iscsi)

I have a customer's case (#00420511) which hits this problem in RHEL5u6 (system-config-lvm-1.1.5-8.el5.noarch). After making a soft link /bin/readlink to /usr/bin/readlink have solved the problem.
Just tried Jaylin's suggestion and worked. I was able to extend an online LV where before it was showing as unmounted.
