Description of problem: Not sure it's the right component but kernel downgrade helped. X window (the session) does not start with kernel 2.6.38-0.rc2.git0.1.fc15.i686.PAE, I have a disco on my LCD. gdm seems to work fine but it starts flickering after login. 2.6.37-2.fc15.i686.PAE works fine. Hw is lenovo x201 with i5/IntelGFX. [komat@dhcp-24-199 ~]$ lspci 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel 2.6.38-0.rc2.git0.1.fc15.i686.PAE How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install the kernel 2. login to gdm 3. see the flickering
Can you try 2.6.38-rc3 when it becomes available tomorrow?
Please try the latest rawhide kernel.
It's still broken with 2.6.38-0.rc3.git4.1.fc15.i686.PAE.
Just to be clear - it appears only on an external LCD monitor connected via VGA cable. Build-in laptop display is ok.

Possibly duplicate of bug 680828?
Still the same, with 2.6.38.1-6.fc15.i686.PAE
Still the same with 2.6.38.5-22.fc15.i686.PAE
Still the same with latest f15 kernel.
Works now.
