Description Rick Herrick 2011-02-07 21:51:18 EST
Description of problem:
Right-clicking on the platform node on http://localhost:7080/coregui/CoreGUI.html#Resource/10001 brings up a pop-up menu with an option for Import. Clicking that there are two entries for JBossAS Server. One is for 4 the other is for 5, which can be determined from the descriptions on the fields, but isn't apparent at the menu level.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhq-server-4.0.0.B02

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://localhost:7080/coregui/CoreGUI.html#Resource/10001 (or other platform menu).
2. Right-click on the platform.
3. Go to Import.

Actual results:
Two entries for JBossAS Server.

Expected results:
One entry for JBossAS Server 4 and one entry for JBossAS Server 5.

Additional info:
Comment 1 Rick Herrick 2011-02-07 21:52:52 EST
This is probably related: once I add an instance of JBossAS 6 to my inventory, it appears under a node labeled JBossAS Servers. There's also another node for JBossAS Servers, which contains the Hostname RHQ Server on JBossAS 4.2.3. So the labeling is the same in either case, while it should be differentiated by JBossAS version.

I think this is solved in RHQ 4.4 (and perhaps much earlier already), as the
type is now amended with the plugin name
