This is (surely) another manifestation of the quickstarter running during rpm update, whose underlying problem should be fixed by the gio watch on erase/remove of the previous install, but unfortunately that takes two updates to clear out the old one and get in the new one. Anyhow, the immediate crash on an xWindow with no pWindow is one that we should also be able to handle
