Description of problem: My "Pinnacle PCTV USB2 PAL" device provides a /dev/video2 and a pulseaudio/alsa_input.hw_1 device. The video looks good, but the audio stream sounds really bad... example: http://www.wgboome.de./bla.wav On linux-media mailing list someone suggested, that the usbaudio driver gets some YUV data mixed with audio data... http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-media/msg28889.html I think even with a filter that removes extreme values (http://www.wgboome.de./blah.raw -> http://www.wgboome.de./blah.ogg) the device will be unusable, because: the sample rate is unknown...
