Description Jaroslav Reznik 2011-02-14 17:28:28 UTC
Description of problem: there's a regression in 2.6.38 kernels that breaks backlight support on Lenove S10-3t. It is working with older kernels (tried it).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
latest Rawhide kernel

How reproducible:
everytime

Actual results:
1. no device in /sys/class/backlight/
2. no backlight support in xrandr (xrandr --properties)

Expected results:
Backlight settings working again ;-)

Additional info:
It's possible it's this bug https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27702 but I don't see any relation to suspend/resume. See also http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/1090610
