Hello! OTR dev. here. Illya's backtrace does in fact point to OTR as the source of the crash while closing pidgin. Unfortunately I've had some trouble reproducing this. If someone can consistently reproduce the issue Illya has (pidgin crashes while closing, OTR plugin is also installed), I would appreciate if you could provide: - The list of active account protocol types (i.e. AIM, XMPP, MSN, ...) - The list of active plugins (especially if any active plugin has options that can change a conversation window's menus or decoration) - Other details regarding when this crash does and does not occur, e.g. does this occur even if you simply open and close pidgin without initiating a conversation? Alternatively, is just one conversation enough to reproduce this? If a generous user who can consistently reproduce this is willing to provide shell access on a machine where this happens, this would also greatly facilitate fixing this issue. Thanks!
*** Bug 694746 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
It seems to be it might be triggered by otr, but I don't think the actual crash is in otr, unless you believe the pidgin API does not allow g_hash_table_foreach() to be called with NULL as third argument? I have noticed this bug in the past, but havent encountered it in a long while. It might have been addressed by pidgin ? If no one can reproduce this anymore, I will close the bug soon, as it has been open for a year now.
This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
