Description of problem: I've run "rpm -e gnome-games" from an xterm in a running GNOME Shell session after having opened the "Activities > Applications > Games" view. Switching back to the "Activities > Applications" screen, it is empty. Except for a single icon "Add/Remov..." for the PackageKit-gnome UI. No categories at the right side of the screen to choose from. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): F15 Alpha.TC2 with updates from 20110217 How reproducible: Likely 100%. Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to "Activities > Applications" view 2. click category "Games" 3. go to a terminal window and run "rpm -e gnome-games" 4. return to "Activities > Applications" view Actual results: Empty/useless screen with no applications and categories other than a single "Add/Remov..." icon. Expected results: Obviously, the various app categories at the right border should still be there.
"yum -y install gnome-games" doesn't fix it. Logging out now for further testing...
Logging back in, "Activities > Applications" is fixed again. So, how reproducible: 100% If one is fast enough while the "rpm -e gnome-games" is running, one can observe how the "Activities > Applications > Games" view is emptied and replaced with the single icon.
