Ray,
 I think that looks good. On my screen the Task header is one line lower then the archs. I think it could be on the same line as the archs.

 If we could also collapse the top of the page, there is a lot wasted area.

Yeah, the Task header is inline with the whiteboards. I could move that up though I think.

 I think there is an issue. On my screen when I scroll to the right the word "task" scrolls as well and covers the arch.

 Also the top of the page is still not quite right the whiteboard box goes way off the page to the right

Strange.  Doesn't do that on my version of firefox.  Although I liked it the way it was before this last change, when task was down one level..

If you scroll over its because of a job of mine that went a little crazy and has a HUGE whiteboard.

Yea I opened it again and it is not overwriting it now either :/ Maybe a resizing issue. I zoomed in to see how the scrolling was.

Even if there is a normal whiteboard. The alignment at the top of the page has a lot of wasted space.

Yeah I saw that too. The whiteboard needs a fixed size with an scroll bar.

I've moved the generate button up, to make that area more compact. As far as the whitespace on the top right, I'm not really sure what you want done there. 
Unless you want to move all of the elements (filter,job_id,whiteboard,generate button, hide nak checkbox) into one single line (which to me would not seem to make it intuitive).
