Description of problem: I logged into Gnome via XDM (GDM is shot right now), and I get: $ xauth -i -v list xauth: /home/vonbrand/.Xauthority not writable, changes will be ignored $ ls -lZ ~/.Xauthority -rw-------. vonbrand vonbrand system_u:object_r:xdm_home_t:s0 /home/vonbrand/.Xauthority SElinux is targeted + enforcing, but sems not to complain. The "can't write" is total nonsense, as nobody is asking for changes anyway. But it should show its contents. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xorg-x11-xdm-1.1.6-22.fc15.x86_64 xorg-x11-xauth-1.0.2-9.fc15.x86_64 selinux-policy-targeted-3.9.15-2.fc16.noarch How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. xauth list 2. 3. Actual results: Error message, can't open ~/.Xauthority for writing Expected results: Additional info: For some strange reasion, ck-list-sessions thinks I'm not local: $ ck-list-sessions Session1: unix-user = '501' realname = 'Horst H. von Brand' seat = 'Seat2' session-type = '' active = FALSE x11-display = ':0' x11-display-device = '/dev/tty7' display-device = '' remote-host-name = '' is-local = FALSE on-since = '2011-03-01T18:22:17.471202Z' login-session-id = '1' (Yes, I think I will have to reinstall to fix this one)
