Description Domingo Becker 2011-03-02 02:50:27 UTC
Description of problem:
There are some untranslated string in anaconda for Fedora 15 Alpha 2.
I guess it must be just a matter of adding the appropriate _() function calls.

1. pic1.jpg: it contains a string when selecting the kind of device to work with.

2. pic2.jpg: after selecting a custom partitioning layout, it requests to confirm the deletion of all data in the partitions to reformat.

3. pic3.jpg: waiting for networkmanager to start a device.

4. pic4.jpg: the selected major software group. This used to be localisable in previous releases.

5. pic5.jpg: :-) a bit confusing. Was it F15? I thought I had put the F15 Alpha 2 installation DVD.

I only tested the options I use most.
My congratulations for the Anaconda Team, great improvements are noticeable from the previous release.

Comment 6 Chris Lumens 2011-03-02 15:50:47 UTC
(1) The string just needs to be translated. It's marked, but there's no translation in the .po file.

(2) Don't know what's going on here yet.

(3) Don't know what's going on here yet.

(4) Those translations are supposed to come out of comps. That was a change made in RHEL6 and brought forward to Fedora. Perhaps comps did not get
the memo.

(5) There's a bug filed against fedora-logos for that already.

Comment 7 Domingo Becker 2011-03-02 16:15:22 UTC
Is there a chance to get those strings in the anaconda pot file [1] before translation deadline, in order to include them in the release?

For the comps pot file, perhaps it's appropriate to file a new bug report.

Thank you.

Comment 8 Ales Kozumplik 2011-03-03 12:52:45 UTC
All the needed strings are in the anaconda.pot file. Comps should have their own pot file to translate (4).

(2) is missing because the translation is fuzzy (i.e. it has not been properly marked as tranlasted in es.po yet)

Comment 9 Ales Kozumplik 2011-03-03 13:51:38 UTC
Case (3) is a subtle error on the anaconda side, patch awaiting review:
