Probably just rpmdb issue. Have anybody faced this problem as well?

Yes, this is weird. But I don't see how this is a spice-protocol issue, and
judging from the yum output you pasted:

  Updating : spice-protocol-0.8.0-1.el6.noarch 1/2
  Cleanup : spice-protocol-0.7.1-1.el6.noarch 2/2

It does not seem like a yum issue either, changing component to rpm.

> Have anybody faced this problem as well?

I haven't seen it.

Interrupted transactions leaving duplicates behind is expected (if not optimal, but this is not something that can be addressed in RHEL 6) behavior.
