The mouse cursor does show up and move but no login prompt is shown. Upon inspection of the system log, I found a crash backtrace after the line: gdm-simple-greeter[1290]: GLib-GObject-CRITICAL: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed#012aborting... After rebooting the X server with <ctl><alt><backspace>, gdm came up without problems. System log from boot until after X reboot is attached Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gdm-2.91.6-8.fc15.x86_64 How reproducible: Has happened to me once, others have seen the same symptoms at least once Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot F15 live image 2. 3. Updating from upstream bug: > The problem here is the icon size of 51. The icon is available, but only in size 48. Ray, did you not fix this already ? > I did fix this. I think Adam used an old GDM in the test day. The upstream bug has been closed with the assertion that it was fixed, but no version information was given for the time of the fix. Will retest with newest GDM to see if I can reproduce but I assume that this bug can be closed.
