100% reproducable for me.
My system is a F13 upgrade, not a F14 clean install if that matters.
Short-term sleeps (i.e. less than a minute) do not cause the problem.  Very odd.

How to reproduce
-----
1. Import a clip
2. Render it to completion
3. put machine to sleep overnight
4. wake up machine
