Description of problem: When I file a Fedora Linux bug, frequently I know that the bug exists in several versions, but can only report against one (unless I file multiple reports against all of the versions). So I normally file against the highest version, then if it's closed without being fixed in the other versions, I reopen against the highest unfixed version, and repeat until the bug is fixed in all non-EOL versions. It would be much nicer to specify all known versions at once, and might reduce the number of cloned bugs.
Hi, Red Hat bugzilla introduced a change last month to allow bugs to be filed against multiple versions. At this stage the Fedora team have chosen not to use this option. -- simon
