Description Joachim de Groot 2011-03-23 20:35:04 UTC
Spec URL: http://fedora.jaydg.nl/pdfgrep.spec
SRPM URL: http://fedora.jaydg.nl/pdfgrep-1.2-1.fc14.src.rpm

Description: Pdfgrep is a tool to search text in PDF files. It works similar to grep. It supports regular expressions, some important grep options and color output.

Rpmlint is silent: 3 packages and 1 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 0 warnings.
Koji build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2938696

Comment 1 Mario Blättermann 2011-03-25 20:21:19 UTC
As you already wrote, rpmlint is silent, neither the spec file nor the packages itself produce any output, besides the usual expat issues.

By the way, perhaps you could add a Dutch description...? However, it is not required and less documented. Look here:
http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Policies/Charset#Why.3F

And additionally, you could add the following for German:

Summary(de): Suchwerkzeug für Text in PDF-Dateien

%description -l de
Pdfgrep ist ein Werkzeug für die Textsuche in PDF-Dateien.
Seine Funktionsweise ähnelt der von grep.

Funktionsmerkmale:
* Suchen nach regulären Ausdrücken.
* Unterstützung für wichtige grep-Optionen, wie:
  * Ausgabe des Dateinamens.
  * Ausgabe der Seitennummer.
  * optionale Berücksichtigung von Groß-/Kleinschreibung.
  * Zählung der Suchergebnisse.
* und vielleicht am wichtigsten: farbige Ausgabe!

Thank you for the review!

I've added the German summary and description. Despite my last name I do not speak Dutch, only German...

Sorry, I thought because your files are hosted in a .nl domain, you are a native Dutch speaker.
Anyway, adding some non-English descriptions could be the first step to a global translation system in Fedora. Don't know how to setup this, but other distributions already have it (Debian and its derivatives, Mandriva...).
