Description of problem: According to the Shotwell site[1], version 0.9 should have plugins for publishing to Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, etc. Going to Edit->Preferences->Plugins shows two plugin categories: "Publishing" and "Slideshow Transitions" with no actual plugins available. [1] http://yorba.org/shotwell/help/upload.html Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.9
This is bizarre. The Facebook, Flickr etc. sources are linked into the shotwell-publishing.so plugin, and the function names are indeed present: $ strings /usr/lib64/shotwell/plugins/builtin/shotwell-publishing.so | grep -i facebook | wc -l 391 I'll check with upstream and look at the plugin source files. Maybe we're missing some runtime dependencies...
Turns out $PREFIX/lib is hardcoded in several places -- patch sent to upstream. http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/3421#comment:5
