xinput

Description of problem: touchpad buttons not recognized properly. Right click button don't work. All sort of clicks trigger left click behavior. Touchpad can't be disabled by tapping twice on the top left corner which is the appropriate behavior for this device.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. login to fedora
2. right click using the touchpad
3. tap twice on the top left corner

Actual results:
for 2. left click behavior triggered
for 3. nothing happens / left click behavior triggered

Expected results:
for 2. right click
for 3. the touchpad would be disabled and repeating the process would enable it again

Additional info: This is a Synaptic touchpad that comes with HP Probook 4520s. Works properly with Suse Linux 11 shipped with the laptop and also with Windows when proper drivers are installed.

I attached all the files that were available on my system as you mentioned. I hope it helps. Thanks a lot for looking into the matter. I'd happy to provide any other information if needed.

This is a clickpad touchpad device. Upstream doesn't have support for those devices yet. There are some patches floating around that some distros may ship but they are not ready for inclusion upstream yet.

Closing as UPSTREAM, sorry.
