Thanks very much for reporting this issue. This actually is not an issue with the Geany package in Fedora itself, it's rather an issue with the editing engine from Geany, thus upstream from upstream... :) However, I just talked with the Geany developers and they would like to support me on this issue. For this, I'd like to ask if it is possible to provide that file, ideally compressed, so we can reproduce the issue? I would open a bug at Geany then and keep you up to date about the process of the issue.
Somehow, the problem seems not to be purely caused by huge one-line text files as some of them are working fine, some cause Geany to crash. However, the effect is reproducible when using this file: www.filesavr.com/L375LRYN5GCALK7 Thanks for forwarding this bug report. Cheers Christoph
