Go to the alert history or event history pages where you do have alerts/events. go to the alert priority/event severity filter - deselect all priorities/severities. notice you get all rows. the thought was that we do not have any filters, so return everything. however, because the UI renders these options with checkboxes, it doesn't make sense - if I check all the filter options, I should get all the data, but if I de-select all the filter options, I should get no data. We should change this so when nothing is selected (priority/severity filter is empty, nothing checked), we should return no data.
commit 769949fb28b0beeeba6c076130708c8a534cce88 to test: 1) get alerts and events into the DB 2) go to the alert history, de-select all priorities in the alert priority filter 3) see that no alerts are returned 4) select all priorities and see that all alerts are shown 5) go to the event history page and do the same (de-select all severities, see no data, select all severities, see all data)
Verified on build#39 (Version: 4.0.0-SNAPSHOT Build Number: 15a53e5) Created and triggered alerts of different priorities on a resource and enabled events. Navigated to the alert history page. On de-selecting all priorities in the alert priority filter does not return any alerts. on selecting all the priorities, all alerts are shown. Also tested this on event history page. The data is displayed according to the selected severity only in the severity filter. Marking as verified.
