What is that a backtrace of ? It doesn't look like a OOo backtrace at all

Can you provide a backtrace of whatever the problem is and a route to reproduce it please.

Okay, this is bug 610103.

Comment 7 David Tardon 2011-03-31 06:10:53 UTC
Given the usual time span between OO.o updates in RHEL, I'm not sure if we really need to fix this...

Comment 8 Caolan McNamara 2011-03-31 08:00:24 UTC
Well, we technically can sort of fix it anyway, if we backport the final gio watch on the quickstarter lib itself being upgraded and auto-exit the quickstarter when that happens.

This is the same class of problem that makes the search box of firefox fail when firefox is upgraded while running.

Comment 11 Caolan McNamara 2011-03-31 10:58:00 UTC
Note that the bug is in the *INSTALLED* version, say version A, so fixing it in version B means that if version A is installed and running while version B is upgraded then version A remains running and is now unreliable post-upgrade until A exits. Only a subsequent upgrade from fixed B to C while B is running will cause B to auto-exit on upgrade while running to avoid the issue.

the fix is in libreoffice, so fix should appear with the rebase.

Transferring this bug to the libreoffice. We plan to address this as part of the transition to libreoffice starting with RHEL 6.3
