Description Vít Ondruch 2011-04-01 06:55:44 UTC
Description of problem:
If there is know wireless network with enabled auto-connection, but requires authentication, the password dialog is shown again and again after its cancellation. This render computer unusable in case when you really don't want to connect to that particular network. Even disabling wireless is problem at that moment.

How reproducible:
Store the wireless network profile, choose to always ask for password and auto-connect.

Expected results:
After canceling the password dialog, the attempt to auto-connect should be avoided until user connect manually, or until got out of range, switch wireless on/off, etc.

Fixed upstream as 5fd3163a46edbccc85de8f9e624a998aac729dba and should make it into the next F15 build.

Now it does not attempt to auto connect at all. That is not solution.

I expect that following workflow will work.

1. My wireless adapter is switched off initially.
2. Switch it on.
3. The newtork is in range, so NM attempts to connect and request password.
4. I don't want co connect right now, so I pres cancel.
5. The autoconnection is turned of for some period, e.g. the network has to go out of range, the computer was restarted, in sleep.
