I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense to change this. The Release Notes have been there for quite a number of releases, so that is where people expect them, and we expect a change in yelp/khelpcenter that will may change how they are handled.
This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.
This is still a valid issue, and I'm still not sure of the best answer. Updating the version so it doesn't get lost when F15 goes out of support.
At the May 17 meeting it was decided that the release notes will move to the "normal" location for Fedora 18. To prevent folks from being blindsided, a note to that effect will be added to the Fedora 17 Release Notes. BZ#821412 is a reminder to that effect. To minimize impact on L10n the prose will be added to the zero day RPM.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.) Hi Neal, We've moved the release notes to `/usr/share/doc/{package}` to meet established practice.
