Description of problem: While inputting text using Lohit-Malayalam fonts, the minus (-) sign does not show. If the font does not contain a given glyph, sometimes, the required glyph is taken from some other font and displayed; but thsi does not happen with the minus sign in lohit mMalayalam. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.4.4 How reproducible: In LibreOffice, input data using lohit Malayalam font. Input the minus sign somewhere within the text. There is no indicator of any input (for me). Now, select the entered text, and change the font to some other - like Raghu Malayalam, and the minus sign shows up. Steps to Reproduce: See above Actual results: Expected results: The font show show either a blank square, or display the glyph from some other font. In lohit Malayalam, there is no indication of any text input taking place. Additional info: I ran into this on Debian Experimental; but seems that this problem exists at least for lohit Kannada, where at least, the empty square is displayed.
