Description of problem: screen won't clear terminal after itself upon exit, happens only in gnome-terminal, not for example in xterm or konsole Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-terminal-2.31.3-6.el6 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open gnome-terminal 2. run screen 3. run dmesg 4. type Control+D Actual results: Terminal is not cleared when screen terminates. Cursor is on the top followed by fragments of text from dmesg output Expected results: Terminal is cleared, nothing is after cursor. Additional info: happens in fc14 as well (gnome-terminal-2.32.0-1.fc14)

Hmm, works for me with gnome-terminal-2.32.1 and vte-0.28.2, will check on other systems.
Since this is a bug for RHEL6, I suggest to check on latest RHEL6. :) It's still broken. gnome-terminal-2.31.3-7.el6.i686 vte-0.25.1-7.el6.i686
