Just after beta, I made a new ntfs-3g package for Fedora 15. With this package, ntfs-3g now is the upstream home for ntfsprogs (which was previously a separate project). The existing ntfsprogs hadn't really had any love for quite some time, the 2.0.0 release was held together with a lot of spit and chewing gum. The ntfs-3g upstream (which is very active/responsive) took over the ntfsprogs code, cleaned it up, applied all the distro patches they could find (including all of Fedora's) and hooked it into libntfs-3g. In the process, they fixed several bugs. Given that ntfsprogs is used during anaconda for ntfs operations, I figured it was worthwhile to include in F15. Please consider tagging ntfs-3g for the final Fedora 15 spin.
Discussed at 2011-04-15 blocker review meeting. There is an unfrozen period between Beta release and Final freeze in which you could land this; you do not need a blocker or NTH bug to land changes during that un-frozen period (just usual Bodhi feedback). We don't see this hitting any release criteria or NTH principles, so we're -1 NTH and -1 blocker, but to emphasize again, that doesn't mean you can't get it into F15 Final, and we have no problem with you doing that :) We just wouldn't want to touch it once the Final freeze actually happens (May 9, I believe). -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers

shouldn't still be marked as blocking f15blocker. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
as this is effectively a tag request, let's close it. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
