It seemed to happen in the background. The following is what I was doing: 1. Using Eclipse to do Java programming for a programming class. 2. Viewing a .pdf of the assignment I was doing. 3. Using gedit to take notes.

Seems like you don't have a fully up to date distribution - this should be fixed in the latest clutter, and the gnome-shell version listed above is also old. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 680537 ***
