How to reproduce
-----
I'm not entirely sure how to reproduce this crash (I couldn't report it immediately because I had to download packages to use the Automatic Bug Reporting Tool, which took a while). It seemed to happen in the background. The following is what I was doing:

1. Using Eclipse to do Java programming for a programming class.
2. Viewing a .pdf of the assignment I was doing.
3. Using gedit to take notes.

Seems like you don't have a fully up to date distribution - this should be fixed in the latest clutter, and the gnome-shell version listed above is also old.
