Description of problem: The (GNOME3) control center will sometimes forget its size and end up much smaller (vertically) than the list of components. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): control-center-3.0.0.1-3.fc15 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Control Center 2. Click Messaging and VOIP Accounts 3. Nothing shows up (different bug, I assume), and the window shrinks vertically (to a default size?) 4. Click All Settings Actual results: When you're back in the main settings window, it remains the same small size. Expected results: Control Center should expand again to fit all components as before. Additional info: Clicking a different component causes the window to resize itself correctly.
Which version of gtk3 do you have installed ? This problem occurred prominently with 3.0.7, should be fixed in 3.0.9
$ rpm -q gtk3 gtk3-3.0.9-1.fc15.x86_64 I attempted an update, but there are none for gtk3, and the control-center update doesn't work at the moment due to missing cheese-libs dependency.
OK, I've made an update to the following: control-center-3.0.1.1-5.fc15.x86_64 There may have been an update to empathy/telepathy as well, because now the Messaging and VOIP Accounts no longer shows up empty. So I can no longer say whether an empty page causes the Control Center size to get stuck, but at least it doesn't happen for any of the existing pages.
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
