From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.4.1) Gecko/20020508 Netscape6/6.2.3 Description of problem: I tried to install some other software (more specifically lucent modem driver), it complains that could not find kernel-header files. Indeed I couldn't find the rpm in Redhat 7.3 distributions. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Just look through the list of RPM's 2. 3. Additional info:
kernel-source-2.4.18-5.i386.rpm is the package you're in search of. The kernel-headers has been renamed to glibc-kernheaders.
indeed the /usr/include/linux files (the glibc interface) are provided by the glibc-kernheaders package now. For compiling kernel modules you need the kernel-source rpm (and that's true at least since RHL7.1 if not before)
