Created attachment 495762 [details] /var/log/messages - search for the error message Description of problem: It happened to me with my updated Fedora Beta 15 when I (accidentaly) clicked hybernate. The system froze on the blue fedora screen and refused to go on. I hit a key (up arrow :D ) and it showed the message in the summary: phy0 -> rt73usb_set_device_state: Error - device failed to enter state 1 (-16). after hitting the up arrow once more, the system hybernated. When I woke it up, network worked all right.
Re-assigned to the kernel, more likely a rt73usb.ko problem.
I was able to reproduce the problem locally and posted 2 patches that should fix the problem. http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=131315053229181&w=2 http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=131315059229226&w=2 Patches are not yet applied upstream. I have them included in compat-wireless-next packages from http://people.redhat.com/sgruszka/compact_wireless.html. Test welcome.
Patches are now included in rawhide kernel. If problem still happen please reopen.
