The fix is available and functional for RHEL5 see details of bug 675921.
Waiting for packages with fix on RHEL6.

MRG RHEL6 build -5 under stress test atm, feedback tomorrow.

The issue has been fixed, long stress run (>10k loops) proved that issue is reliably fixed, tested on RHEL 6.1 i686 / x86_64 on packages:
