Description Miroslav Lichvar 2011-05-13 14:11:53 UTC
The guile package in rawhide is planned for update to a new major release.
In a test rebuild of all packages depending on guile, g-wrap has failed to build.

Rebuild results:
http://mlichvar.fedorapeople.org/tmp/guile/rebuild/

New guile packages:
http://mlichvar.fedorapeople.org/tmp/guile/

Please close this bug if a new upstream version of g-wrap which works
with the new guile is available or if you think the current version can be
easily fixed. It doesn't have to be commited in fedora git, we are just trying
to find out if we need to delay the guile update (or make a guile-compat
package).

I tried to build g-wrap on Fedora 16 with the guile 2 packages from http://mlichvar.fedorapeople.org/tmp/guile/ , and it failed similarly to how it is in rebuild results.

Bumping to g-wrap 1.9.13 from http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/g-wrap/ does not yet seem to solve the build issues, but the latest code in master of git://git.sv.gnu.org/g-wrap.git at least builds against guile 2.0.2.

Bumping g-wrap to 1.9.14 seems to resolve this issue. Tested in f16 and rawhide against guile 1.8.8 and 2.0.5.
