We'd like to be able to acknowledge all messages up to and including a given message for a Session. Please see https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-3200 for more details.

Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: Cause: Some applications required more flexible control over acknowledgements. Consequence: It was not possible to acknowledge all messages up to a specific message (except by acknowledging each message individually or by acknowledging all fetched messages). Change: A method was added to the API to allow cumulative acknowledgement up to a given message. Result: The flexibility of acknowledgement was improved to cover this case.
