Description Tomas Pelka 2011-05-17 20:37:42 UTC
Description of problem:
Main idea comes from Paul Vine, I have to totally agree. Here is the idea. For some plans especially when testing Laptops/Desktops or wireless devices we need make the HW coverage more transparent/searchable. Till now we are able to add arch, HW like graphics/soundcard/wireless to test runs. I'm not sure if these params are searchable but we need something more transparent. Some sort of visualization of what we have, what is actually, what pass/fail or so. Lets call it HW matrix coverage.

Are you guys able to achieve this idea?

Example HM matrix at: https://wiki.test.redhat.com/RhelQe/Rhel62/HardwarePriority

Just for inspiration.

These matrix are created manually, but creating the automatically mased on test results grouped by environment values would be more than perfect.

would you please provide more details about where the row/column come from? so that we can make your requirement as a standard report.

Tomas, BaseOS, Virt and RTT QE groups also need a tabular/matrix report for test-case-results. It is tracked here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=746965#c3

Would the proposed solution work for you as well?
