Created attachment 499932 [details] support TUN endpoint without IP address Description of problem: socat allows to use TUN:... as one endpoint, but this always requires an ip address. The attached patch allows to use TUN without an ip address, e.g. when the interface is used in a bridge. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): socat-1.7.1.3-2.fc14. Additional info: patch has also been send upstream.
