ltsp ltspfs ldm mkdst are EPEL-6 only packages. Fedora 15+ is incompatible with LTSP. nbd and xorg-x11-drv-geode are no longer shipped as of RHEL-6 so I need a branch in EPEL-6. Package Change Request ====================== Package Name: ltsp ltspfs ldm mkdst nbd xorg-x11-drv-geode New Branches: el6 Owners: wtogami
done.
Sorry, forgot these deps: Package Change Request ====================== Package Name: mkelfimage wraplinux New Branches: el6 Owners: wtogami
Sorry, found another missing package. =( Package Change Request ====================== Package Name: pyserial New Branches: el6 Owners: wtogami
What needs to be done to get pyserial packages available via epel yum for el6?
Warren needs to build it and push it out as an update.
Whats the news here? Warren?
I have recently taken hold of the EL6 side of the LTSP project to help out pick up where Warren left it. I have the latest LTSP 5.4.4 trunk working on i386 and x64 platforms for the server, and i386 for the client using both NFS and NBD. The testing and packaging of the different elements is almost complete. I think all I will need is a repo branch for the client to yum from when this is said and done. Please don't hesitate to contact me by email if you have any questions or just to introduce yourself =)
LTSP would be invaluable to several of my customers. I'd like to brew up their requirements and have them attached to this RFE. It'll take me a day or two. Andrew Riell ariell
Additionally, I'd like this for RHEL as well as EPEL. Andrew Riell ariell
Andrew: I think you are in the wrong place here. ;) If you want to get things working in EPEL, you need to work with the existing package maintainers (or become one yourself). If you want LTSP packages in RHEL, you probibly want some internal RHEL only request for that. Warren or Joshua: What is the current state of LTSP in EPEL? I don't actually see any reason to keep this bug open, it was simply here to add packages for warren when he was working on it. Perhaps there would be some better place to coordinate folks interested in this?
Go Here for LTSP is RHEL 6 -> Bug 1118841
The current state of ltsp is stable for RHEL 6, see wiki http://wiki.ltsp.org/wiki/Category:Fedora It would be good to have current ltsp packages in RHEL 6 but its not urgent. @Andrew - Can you grant me access to that Bug #?
The problem with that is it's not officially (Red Hat) supported. All my customers want a supported LTSP package(s).
sorry wrong BZ
It appears the purpose of this bug was complete years ago. Closing.
