Description of problem:

Hershey fonts have problems in WYSIWYG text editing programs and image manipulation programs.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

ghostscript-fonts-5.50-23.fc12.noarch

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Abiword
2.Select any of the Hershey fonts
3.Write in your document

- Font is unreadable
- Pressing enter does not create a newline

Other repro:

1. groupinstall Sugar Desktop
2. Login to Sugar Desktop
3. Start the 'Paint' (oficina) activity
4. Activate the text tool
5. Select hershey font
6. Click on canvas and type

- Font is unreadable
- Writing is not immediate on each keystroke -- displays only after clicking elsewhere on the canvas.

Comment 2 Peter Robinson 2011-10-08 22:17:39 UTC
Tim: any chance we could get the Hershey either dropped from gs-fonts or moved to a sub package where they're not default as they're problematic?
