Description Rudd-O DragonFear 2011-05-29 23:10:37 UTC
Description of problem:

Times out when triggered.

May 29 15:45:01 karen dbus-daemon: [system] Activating via systemd: service name='org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit' unit='console-kit-daemon.service'

then

May 29 15:45:26 karen dbus-daemon: [system] Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit': timed out

During that, nothing else starts up.

Of course there is no logging output whatsoever about ConsoleKit, and ConsoleKit starts just fine after bootup is complete, so the problem is undebuggable by me.

Not amusing :-S

I'm having exactly the same problem. Any news on this?

Comment 3 Jorge López 2011-08-31 09:00:33 UTC
I managed to solve this timeout by manually activating console-kit service on systemd with the following command:

# systemctl enable console-kit-daemon.service

Comment 5 Rudd-O DragonFear 2012-02-01 01:27:57 UTC
In a reinstall from scratch ,the problem appears solved, no more ck hangs. I will leave the bug open in case Jorge continues to have this issue.

Comment 13 Fedora End Of Life 2013-04-03 19:47:19 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Comment 14 David King 2014-12-04 12:58:52 UTC
