SELinux is preventing /sbin/drbdadm from using the 'sys_tty_config' capabilities. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that drbdadm should have the sys_tty_config capability by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep drbdadm /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:drbd_t:SystemLow Target Context system_u:system_r:drbd_t:SystemLow Target Objects Unknown [ capability ] Source drbdadm Source Path /sbin/drbdadm Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages drbd-utils-8.3.8.1-1.fc14 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.9.7-42.fc14 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.35.13-92.fc14.i686 #1 SMP Sat May 21 17:39:42 UTC 2011 i686 i686 Alert Count 3 First Seen Sun 29 May 2011 07:21:27 PM EDT Last Seen Mon 30 May 2011 06:50:10 PM EDT Local ID c00fae5f-cc5b-446c-a24e-b4debbb2eed8 Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1306795810.196:25): avc: denied { sys_tty_config } for pid=3451 comm="drbdadm" capability=26 scontext=system_u:system_r:drbd_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:system_r:drbd_t:s0 tclass=capability type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1306795810.196:25): arch=i386 syscall=ioctl success=yes exit=0 a0=0 a1=5401 a2=bfdf6098 a3=bfdf60d8 items=0 ppid=3450 pid=3451 auid=4294967295 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=(none) ses=4294967295 comm=drbdadm exe=/sbin/drbdadm subj=system_u:system_r:drbd_t:s0 key=(null) Hash: drbdadm,drbd_t,drbd_t,capability,sys_tty_config audit2allow #============= drbd_t ============== allow drbd_t self:capability sys_tty_config; audit2allow -R #============= drbd_t ============== allow drbd_t self:capability sys_tty_config;
drbdadm probably does not need this access. Did you notice any loss of functionality?
If it turns out that it really needs it , then i will undo this: http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=selinux-policy.git;a=commitdiff;h=a09bfdd8e2502e05c552e781b5879313480c7998
I agree, we probably need this fix in RHEL6 also.
