From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98) Description of problem: I was trying to install Red Hat 7.0 in a DOS partition, everything was ok, until the installer tried to format the areas that would be used to install Red Hat Linux, then it crashed sending an anaconda dump, allowing me to choose between ok, save or debug. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start the installation, it doesn't matter if it's in text or graphical format. 2. Select a Windows / DOS partition as the root directory 3. Give all the configuration requested and let the install program proceed. Actual Results: When it tries to format the partitions for Red Hat Linux the installation program shows a windows that says there have been a severe error, it also shows a dump and tell to report this problem at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla, allowing to end the installation, save the dump or debug the problem. Expected Results: The installation program should have continued running normally Additional info: I have a Compaq 7973 computer with a 30 Gb hard disk, an AMD Athlon processor at 700 Mhz, a Diamond Stealth III 16Mb S540 Graphics Card, a Logitech Wheel Mouse 1 PS/2, and IDE CD R/RW 4x4x24 and a Compaq DVD ROM 3D-612B Drive. The monitor is a Compaq MV525 with an horizontal freq. of 30Khz - 54 Khz and a vertical freq. of 50Hz - 99Hz.
