Description Robert Kief 2011-06-24 16:22:58 UTC
Created attachment 509807 [details]
This image is my monitor's display after a crash.

Description of problem: System crashes when attempting to exit xscreensaver.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.14-1.fc15

How reproducible: Allow xscreensaver to run, then bump mouse to exit to desktop

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Allow xscreensaver to start (I used GLMatrix)
2. Most of the time xscreensaver exits to the desktop normally
3. At random intervals, the exit causes the O/S to crash to a black screen with a text dump.
4. The time between crashes shortened in the weeks after I installed Fedora 15.
5. The first crash happened a couple of weeks after Fedora 15 was installed.
6. By the time I disabled xscreensaver, a crash occurred daily.

Actual results: Most of the time, a normal exit from the screensaver occurs.

Expected results: A normal exit to the desktop initially, but the time between crashes decreasing from two or three a week to daily.

Additional info: I still have xscreensaver installed, but have selected "Disable Screen Saver". No crashes have occurred in the week+ since the disabling. I'm using Xfce 4 as my desktop.
