Description of problem:
I want to use a 1024x768 JPG picture as wallpaper, the display resolution is 
1024x768 , but after I set up the background, the picture only shows up 
momentarily when x-window starts up, then the background returns to be blank, 
and background settings are changed as I set up last time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Here
2.Preferences
3.Desktop
4.change background
	

Actual Results:  the background is not changed.

Expected Results:  the background is the picture I assigned.

are you running nautilus (do you have icons on the desktop?)
